A Meaningful Beginning

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the goal of continuing to create community through the arts, Mason’s College of Visual and Performing Arts launched Mason Arts at Home on April 2, 2020. During the spring 2020 semester, more than 80 digital programs were offered at no cost and viewed more than 200,000 times by audiences around the world, reaching new audiences.

In the following months, the Hylton Center started sharing curated digital content featuring the Hylton Center’s talented artists on Hylton at Home, including members of the Arts Alliance, workshops as part of the Veterans and the Arts Initiative, educational opportunities including virtual story times with the Prince William Public Library, and so much more!
