Marketing and Special Projects Manager, Hylton Center
Carol DeVany has worked at George Mason University in a variety of capacities throughout her career, and currently serves as Marketing Manager for the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) where she focuses on marketing and promotional outreach for the Hylton Performing Arts Center. Carol holds an undergraduate degree in Arts Management from James Madison University, a master's degree in Clinical Social Work from George Mason University, and a Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certification from Mason. She began her career in orchestra management with the Northern Virginia Youth Symphony, which led her to the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts where she worked in the Education and Program & Production departments. In addition to Carol’s present role in CVPA’s marketing department, she also incorporates her love of orchestra management into her work at Mason through her role as General Manager of the American Festival Pops Orchestra.
