We are eager to welcome you back into the performance spaces at the Hylton Center! Safely accommodating audience members remains our top priority as we reintroduce indoor performances in accordance to guidance from George Mason University, the Virginia Department of Health, and the CDC. We’d like to share the most current updates to our safety protocols that are in place for in-person, indoor activities this summer:

  • Face Coverings:  as of May 29, face coverings are required for all unvaccinated visitors ages five and up and recommended for fully vaccinated patrons.
  • Physical Distancing:  all audience members will be seated with their party approximately 3 feet from other attendees. Please maintain a distance of 3 feet between you and other guests throughout your visit.
  • In the Hylton Center, actions have been taken to:  increase outside (fresh) air supply by 50%; run ventilation systems continuously, thus increasing the movement and exchange of air; and ensure that all fans, filters, and ducts are functioning properly. We have conducted site-specific airflow testing to determine that the air is moving as it is designed to do, helping to ensure continuous exchange.
  • Hand Sanitizing Stations:  hand sanitizer will be available throughout the venue and near the Ticket Office and restrooms.
  • Cleaning Protocols:  the Hylton Center is followingGeorge Mason University's guidance for cleaning and disinfecting the facility.

Please continue to visit our website for more details and updates about what to expect in person at Hylton Center indoor performances.
