Wayne Paige

See Wayne Paige’s, "Changing Landscapes: The Digital Age, Encroachment, and Eventual Outcomes" this April.

Drop by the Hylton Center, take a stroll through the Buchanan Partners Art Gallery, and enjoy a diverse showcase of works created by local and regional artists. In mid-January, the gallery will show the 9th Annual Prince William County Public Schools Student Exhibition (1/21 -2/29), featuring expressive and original works of art by Prince William County Public School students ages elementary through high school. Through the schools’ visual arts program, students learn to be visually innovative and develop an appreciation of visual art. A free gallery reception for this exhibition will be held February 9 at 2 p.m. To RSVP for the gallery reception, please email Hylton@gmu.edu.

Starting mid-March, Mel Parada and Kate Fitzpatrick’s exhibition Soundings (3/10 – 4/11), explores the edges of written language and its formal structures, glyphs, and subtext. Wayne Paige’s Changing Landscapes: The Digital Age, Encroachment, and Eventual Outcomes (4/14 – 5/9) follows in April, deploying elements of science-fiction and visionary imagery to slyly comment on digital technology’s transformation of our physic landscape.

Buchanan Partners Art Gallery exhibitions are free and open to the public Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and two hours prior to each performance.
