Bring your guitar or try one of ours! Have you always wanted to try the guitar, or are you looking for tips to improve your technique? Musicians of all skill levels are welcome to join this workshop with Glen McCarthy, guitar instructor at the Potomac Arts Academy and at George Mason University, who has shared his expertise with the community during Veterans Day events at the Hylton Center.
Presented by the Lifelong Learning Institute, Manassas and the Hylton Performing Arts Center Inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, the “Pentagon Quilts” collection is as diverse as the people who created them. These quilts sprang spontaneously from freedom-loving people in small towns and big cities across the country and the world. They will remain symbols of comfort and encouragement to the Pentagon community and to the nation for generations to come. Forte is the former Curator of The “Pentagon Quilts.”
