Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra  

¡Acompáñanos!: A Journey of Latin Favorites from Boléro to Carmen

The Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra, Prince William County’s premiere chamber ensemble, concludes its 20th Season with a stirring, passionate journey of Spain and Latin America.  The pulsating rhythms and ecstatic melodies of Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2 and Georges Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 1 bring the Merchant Hall stage to life.  Soprano Debora Madsen captivates the audience with Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Aria from Bachianas Brasilerias No. 5, and harpist Nadia Pessoa dazzles with Alberto Ginastera’s Harp Concerto.  Maurice Ravel’s iconic Boléro rounds out an expedition of enchanting music to thrill the senses and stir the soul.   

Tickets: $20 adults, free to youth 17 and under

Bolero & Carmina Burana

Presented by Virginia National Ballet

Enjoy the world premiere of Rafik Hegab’s Bolero, set to Ravel’s famous music, and Carmina Burana—which VNB premiered in 2013set to the iconic music of Carl Orff.  Choreographer Rafik Hegab, originally from Egypt, brings a unique, authentic Pharonic flavor to the production and its beautiful sets and costumes.  This stellar troupe of dancers hail from the US, Brazil, and Japan and also bring their own unique backgrounds to the work. 

Tickets: Adults $35; Seniors (65+) $30; Student (12-18) $25; Children (11 and under) $15; Groups 10+ $29.75. Inquire at box office for free lap tickets for 12 months and below.
