**The event on Tuesday, October 17 takes place at the Bethel Lutheran Church** 

This class features the DVDs of Professor David Christian for the Teaching Company’s “Big History.” After viewing each lecture students will discuss its content and review related questions.

1. Spread of Industrial Revolution to 1900; The Twentieth Century

2. The World that the Modern Revolution Made; Human History and the Biosphere

3. The Next 100 Years; The Next Millennium and the Remote Future

4. Big History – Humans in the Cosmos; Homo Deus

Note: You are welcome to attend any class that interests you. You need not take every class in the series to enjoy these lectures.

David Ward was a financial manager with the Department of Defense for 35 years. He graduated from George Washington University with a degree in history/philosophy and American studies and a minor in financial management. David has served as president and membership chair of LLI and is currently a member of the program committee. He is presenting several classes this semester, as he has done for the past few years.
